Companies should have more of a purpose than simply making money. This includes support of local causes and charities. As part of our corporate purpose, Milligan Partners supports community involvement. To put our money where our mouth is, we match up to 1% of our employees’ annual salary for causes they believe are important to them. Matt and I also support causes that matter to us.
Chris Hopkins (VP of Systems Engineering at Kapsch TrafficCom North America), a colleague and friend of ours, fought through Stage IV lung cancer in 2013 and is back in the workforce. Last weekend, Chris participated in the 2015 Enbridge® Ride to Conquer Cancer®, a two-day cycling event spanning over 200 kilometers throughout Ontario’s countryside. As Chris courageously states on the donation page,
