The Question We Hear
We often get asked how to use social media for business. The question is usually very blunt, “How do we, (insert business name here), use social media?” There is no single, correct answer to this question. It can be very different for every organization, but there are some common methods for success. The clues are in the term itself: social media. It’s simply communication to a mass market through ways that are interactive with the message recipients.
Finding the Answers
Interaction is the key. The audience and the type of desired interaction drives the content and messaging. Everything we’ve been taught about marketing and communications applies, just in a slightly different—dynamic—manner. Interaction means that it happens now, and it keeps happening. It’s an ever-changing environment that needs real attention from the right resources.
